1. Who we are

Parikshaarthi is a test-analysis platform for coaching institutes and for students preparing for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET UG. Institutes use the Institute Console to run tests and read results. Students use the Student Portal to see their own results, reports and study plans. Some institutes use Parikshaarthi under their own name and logo; this policy applies there too.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, admission ID or roll number, institute, batch and target exam. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes.
  • Test data: the answers you give, scores, time taken, and results your institute uploads, including scanned answer sheets.
  • Check-in photos: for proctored online tests, a photo taken when you start. It is stamped with your admission ID, the test and the time.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and whether it has verified that address. We do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive or any other Google data.
  • Usage data: a sign-in cookie, and Google Analytics data on the sign-in and dashboard pages (pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location).

3. How we use it

  • To show you and your institute your results, topic analysis, reports and study plans.
  • To send account emails, such as account setup and password reset links.
  • To keep tests fair and accounts secure, including reviewing check-in photos when needed.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. AI reports

Some reports, such as deep dives and batch reports, are written with the help of third-party AI providers (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). We send them the test data a report needs, such as questions, topics, answers and scores. Students are labelled by roll number or admission ID, not by name, and we add names back on our side after the report is written.

AI reports can contain mistakes. They are study guidance, not a judgement of your ability.

5. Who can see your data

  • You.
  • Your institute: its administrators and the teachers it gives access to. Institutes cannot see other institutes' students.
  • Test series publishers: if you take a test series published by another institute, your results on those tests may appear in that institute's analysis of its own test.
  • Parikshaarthi staff, only when needed to run, support or secure the service.
  • Service providers that run parts of the service for us: hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, AI providers and Google Analytics. They may use the data only to provide their service.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it.

6. Storage and security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and password reset links expire and work only once. Check-in photos and uploaded files are kept in private storage that only authorised people can open. Our service providers may store and process data on servers outside India.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and test data while the account is active, so your progress history stays complete. When your free access period ends, your data is kept but you cannot sign in until access is renewed. To have an account and its data deleted, see section 8.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If your account was created by your institute, send the request to your institute; they manage that account. Otherwise, email us at support@parikshaarthi.in.

9. Students under 18

Many students on Parikshaarthi are under 18. Institutes that add students under 18 are responsible for having a parent's or guardian's consent. If you are under 18 and signing up yourself, do so with your parent's or guardian's permission.

10. Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers your light or dark theme choice. Google Analytics sets its own cookies on the sign-in and dashboard pages.

11. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app when the change is significant. Questions: support@parikshaarthi.in.
